Fans of popular rapper Kanye West have launched a campaign on the US crowdfunding platform “GoFundMe” to make him a millionaire again.

This fundraising only raised $5.

Kanye has been said to have made money from a huge contract with Adidas, a deal with the Gap, a music catalog, sales of new music, and concerts, but he has been cut off from numerous companies due to a number of problematic behaviors, including making anti-Semitic remarks.

Amid reports that he would go bankrupt within months, Kanye’s supporters set up several pages. One was briefly named “Make Kanye West a Billionaire Again” and had a fundraising goal of $1 billion. However, the fundraiser raised only $5 and was later removed, and a copycat page appeared in its place, AllHipHop reported.

Previously, a fan had set up a GoFundMe page in 2016 to raise $53 million after claiming that Kanye was in debt. The fan eventually crowdsourced $57,398, but Kanye refused to accept the funds. Instead, the money was donated to the music charity Notes for Notes, which was also discussed.

According to Forbes magazine, Kanye had signed a contract with Adidas for the Yeezy clothing line, which accounted for $1.5 billion of his net worth. Now that Adidas has announced the dissolution of its partnership with him, Kanye’s assets will be $400 million.

Kanye posted a series of anti-Semitic remarks on social media last month. He has yet to apologize for his remarks, instead declaring that he is “absolutely not sorry.” Kanye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, also condemned Kanye for this series of actions.
