Nick also reveals how his bandmates were able to cheer him up in such a difficult situation. He said, “It was very emotional for me to be with my friends.” There’s an old saying, ‘The show must go on,’ and it’s been with us for years. But that night I didn’t know what to expect.” “I didn’t know what to expect from being on that stage. I didn’t know what to expect from being on that stage. The reaction from the fans was definitely comforting, and it meant a lot to me,” he continued.
On the day of the concert, while the Backstreet Boys were singing their hit song “Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely,” Nick became emotional and could not finish the song. During the MC, member Kevin Richardson said to the fans, “Thank you for being a part of the Backstreet Boys family for 29 years. We’ve been through a lot together. My heart is a little heavy tonight. Because we lost a member of our family yesterday,” he said, and the members rushed to Nick and exchanged warm hugs. A fan captured a video of Nick sobbing.
Kevin continued, “We wanted a moment in this show to confirm Aaron’s presence. He was a part of our family and we thank all of his fans for their love and support,” he sent his condolences.
While the official cause of Aaron’s death has not yet been announced, he was reportedly found with a can of pills and a can of compressed air by his side. Aaron’s family also plans to scatter his ashes in the Florida Keys later this spring.
