Cher, 76, a big-name singer, posted a photo on Twitter of herself having fun on her big day amidst rumors of an engagement to her 40-years-younger boyfriend, Alexander “AE” Edwards, 36.

She also asked her fans to “love and understand” her romance with Alexander.

Cher captioned the photo, “Happy New Year, Daddy.” Alexander is the father of a 3-year-old son, Slash, with Amber Rose, whom he dated from 2018 to 2021.

Cher also responded to those who criticize her and Alexander’s age difference, saying, “This should send you haters to the ‘Wizard of Oz’ part… . when Dorothy poured water on the Wicked Witch and melted her,” he wrote.

Speaking of Cher, on Christmas Day, she tweeted, “No need for words, Alexander “AE”,” and posted a picture of Alexander holding a huge diamond ring, to my surprise. What a surprise to receive a ring from Alexander that is said to be worth $250,000.

Cher has yet to confirm or deny whether she is actually engaged to him, but she told fans that she wanted her late mother, Georgia Holt, to see this huge diamond.

Cher admitted to dating Alexander last November. They were also paparazzi on a hand-holding date. She also asked her fans for “love and understanding” regarding her romance with Alexander.
