Shawn Mendes has finally broken his silence on rumours of a love affair with Sabrina Carpenter.
Are Shawn and Sabrina dating? Not dating?
Singer Shawn Mendes, who played the main character Lyle in the original Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile film, spoke about his relationship with Sabrina Carpenter, another singer who is rumoured to be dating, on Oland’s RTL Boulevard television programme.
Shawn and Sabrina were spotted out alone together at least twice in February, which led to rumours of a romance. Since then, although they have not been photographed together, they attended the same events, including senior singer Miley Cyrus’ album launch party and the after-party of the Academy Awards ceremony hosted by Vanity Fair in the US, which accelerated the love affair theory.
Furthermore, a source interviewed by ET in the US said, “It is true that Shawn and Sabrina are meeting. They often go out together, but as discreetly as possible. I saw them together at (an acquaintance’s) birthday party a few weeks ago and they looked lovely. A testimonial also popped up, “Shawn is happy now”, but what is really going on?
When asked about his relationship with Sabrina on the programme, Shawn was adamant: ‘We’re not together’. He continued that he was on the show to promote his partnership fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger, so “I think it’s better to talk about Tommy Hilfiger than Sabrina. Thank you very much” and ended the subject without further discussion.
Incidentally, when Shawn was reportedly involved with model Hailey Bieber and singer Camila Cabello, he initially denied it, but later revealed that he was not in a relationship with Hailey, but that they were “more than friends and less than lovers”. However, he later revealed that he was not in a relationship with Haley, but that they were “more like friends and less like lovers”, and he admitted that he was in a relationship with Camilla after a while.
