Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers on Netflix’s hugely popular Stranger Things (2016-), has commented on the drama coming to an end.

The series has come a long way since season one, when Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) went missing after being attacked by a monstrous demogorgon and wandered into an alternate universe of the Upside Down. Stranger Things: The Unknown World has become such a popular series that it has become a social phenomenon, and it is clear that the upcoming season 5 will be the finale.

In the meantime, Noah gave an interview to Collider before his appearance in the psycho-thriller The Tutor, in which ‘Stranger Things: The Unknown World’ naturally came up. Noah explained that filming the final season would be ‘bittersweet’, as the drama is one he has been working on since childhood.

‘The end of filming Stranger Things is very bittersweet. ‘Stranger Things’ is the show that made me grow up as an actor, and I grew up on it, I first appeared on it when I was ten years old and now I’m an adult, so it’s a bittersweet time for me. So it’s crazy,” Noah commented. He added: ‘I’m really excited to start filming. The final season looks really good and I’ll definitely be crying and upset when it’s over, but I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds”, he continued.

Speaking of Noah, he recently came out as gay via TikTok, commenting that ‘I guess I’m more like Will than I thought’. In the second half of season four of Stranger Things: The Unknown World, Will is portrayed as being in love with his best friend Mike (played by Finn Wolfhard), and Noah himself later said in an interview, “Yes, especially since in this season it’s clear that Will has feelings for Mike. Will is gay”.
