What does King Charles think of his second son, Prince Harry, who returned to the USA immediately after his coronation, and of Prince Harry’s son, Prince Archie, who is his grandson?
On Saturday 6 May, the coronation of the British royal family, King Charles, took place at Westminster Castle.
King Charles’ second son Prince Harry, who leaves the senior royal family in 2020, travelled alone to the UK to attend the coronation, leaving his wife Meghan, eldest son Prince Archie and eldest daughter Princess Lilibet in the USA.
The coronation took place on 6 May, which happened to be Prince Archie’s fourth birthday. To celebrate his son’s birthday, Prince Harry flew to Heathrow Airport in England immediately after the coronation in his morning suit and flew back to his home in California, USA.
How did King Charles feel about Prince Harry’s bullet-trap return home without speaking to his family in the UK?
A source told the Daily Mail that the royal family wanted to avoid any acrimonious atmosphere with Prince Harry and revealed that they were grateful that he did not stay in the UK for long and returned to the US early.
King Charles, on the other hand, was “quite disappointed that Prince Harry did not stay” during this special period.
King Charles apparently mentioned his grandson Prince Archie in the US at a family luncheon held on the day of the coronation.
During the luncheon, King Charles toasted his grandchildren, Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte, who were present, and also toasted “those who were not here”, and reportedly wished Prince Archie a “Happy Birthday” on his birthday, which fell on Coronation Day.
Prince Harry has been rumoured to be feuding with his family since leaving the senior royal, as he has continued to criticise the royal family in interviews and books, but King Charles still seems to love Prince Harry and his family.
