Global diva Madonna (64) is getting “ridiculously close” to Colombian star Maluma (29), a source close to the singer has revealed.
Madonna has been getting close to Maluma during rehearsals for her highly anticipated world tour, a behind-the-scenes source has said.
The two have been friends since Madonna introduced Maluma at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, and sources say they were romantically involved during the intense few days they worked together. Incidentally, in Madonna’s past, she and Maluma have written and performed a song together.
A tour insider says: ‘They made themselves comfortable and were so cute, so much so that the others decided to leave them alone so they could get on with whatever was happening. ‘They spent a few days together during rehearsals where they started flirting. He is very active in South America and people think he is likely to perform on the South American leg of her tour. They seem to be ridiculously close and the chemistry between them is extraordinary,” she adds.
Madonna also posted a video of Maluma during rehearsals on her private Instagram account. A source who saw the video commented, “She kissed him in front of the other dancers and then straddled him” and “they looked very intimate”.
They sparked rumours of romance again last year when Madonna spent a few days with him on tour in Medellín. Madonna, who had just split from boyfriend Aaramalik Williams, posted several photos of her and Maluma hugging on her Instagram story.
Maluma flew to New York earlier this month to attend the Met Gala before rehearsing and spending time with Madonna. Incidentally, Maluma is one of Latin America’s most popular artists, selling more than 18 million records and boasting more than 63 million followers on Instagram, more than Madonna’s followers.
