No one has talked to me about making a comeback, but I’m positive.

Actress Natalie Portman played the heroine Padmé Amidala in the new Star Wars trilogy released between 1999 and 2005.

In a recent interview with GQ magazine, she was asked about the possibility of a comeback and revealed: ‘No one has asked me about making a comeback, but I’m positive.

Padmé Amidala tragically died in the third film of the new trilogy, Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, and has not appeared in any of the subsequent films.

However, Lucasfilm, the company that produces the Star Wars series, has introduced animated spin-offs set in the era of the new trilogy with Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi.

Therefore, if the company were to make a live-action film set in this era, Padmé could be a likely candidate.

Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen, who starred with Natalie in the new trilogy, are also making a comeback in the live-action drama Obi-Wan Kenobi, which was distributed on Disney Plus last year.

The film is set ten years after Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Although Padme’s presence was felt in places, Natalie herself never appeared in the film.

If Natalie were to make a comeback to the Star Wars series in the future, it would most likely be in a recollection scene in the drama Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2.

This is because Padmé’s presence is essential in depicting Anakin’s emotional change after his fall to the dark side.

Nothing has currently been announced about the production of season 2 of the film. However, Natalie has said that she is “always open” to a comeback, which would suggest that there is a good chance that a comeback will happen.
