Taylor Swift fans are taking action.
Singer Taylor Swift is currently reportedly in love with Matthew Healy, frontman of British rock band The 1975.
Speaking of Matthew Healy, he has been criticised from many quarters for leaving inappropriate comments on a podcast show he has appeared on in the past.
In the midst of all this, Taylor’s fans have launched a campaign called #SpeakUpNow (Speak Up Now).

This is a movement demanding “more than a simple apology” from Taylor for Matthew’s problematic comments.
The fans at the centre of the movement have now issued a statement on Twitter. They called on Taylor to “reflect on the impact of his own and his peers’ words and actions on society and truly reflect on them”.
In the statement, the fan opens by saying, “As a fan who cares about you, we are taking this action to express our disappointment at the uproar,” and adds, “You were seen inviting Matthew Healy to a concert venue and working with him. We are terribly distressed by this”, he continued.
He added that “Taylor is free to associate with whomever she wants” and called on Tyler to “be in a position to protest against harmful ideas and inspire followers to create a fairer and more just world”.
Fans then complained that Taylor’s failure to send out any messages in response to Matthew’s actions would lead to her own ‘undermining progress towards equality and understanding’.
In February this year, Matthew said on a podcast show he appeared on that he was “excited” to watch pornographic videos in which women of colour are treated roughly. He also made other extreme comments that could be seen as racist, which caused a firestorm.
