He told journalists at the press conference that he had “had enough of Hollywood” and implicitly attacked the media, saying that what is written about him is “fiction”.

Johnny arrived 45 minutes late for the press conference. ‘Did you feel boycotted by Hollywood? Well, if you don’t have a pulse, you can’t feel that this is all some weird joke’. He then added enigmatically, ‘If I was asked to resign from a film I’m in because of what is just a bunch of vowels and consonants floating in the air…’ He did not finish his sentence.

Speaking of Johnny, he was reportedly fired from his role in the Fantastic Beasts series amid a court battle with his ex-wife Amber Heard. ‘Do I feel boycotted now? ‘No, not at all. But the reason I don’t feel boycotted is because I don’t think about Hollywood. I don’t feel much need for Hollywood any more,’ he continued.

Johnny’s appearance in this high-profile French film has been described by many as a ‘comeback’, but the man himself does not see it that way. “I keep questioning the word ‘comeback’ because I haven’t gone anywhere, maybe people stopped calling me out of fear at the time, but I haven’t gone anywhere, and to say ‘comeback’ is like me coming out and tap dancing my dance my best and hope that you’ll recognise me,” she explained her interpretation of the comeback in her own unique way.

He added: “Most of what you have read about me and my life over the last five or six years is fantastic and horribly written fiction,” Johnny said.
