THE IDOL, a high-profile drama produced by The Weeknd. The drama has lost more than 100,000 viewers since its first broadcast.
The British GQ named it “the worst sex scene in history.”
Variety reported that the series, directed by “EUPHORIA” creator Sam Levinson, has seen a 12% drop in viewership for its second episode, with 913,000 people watching the June 4 premiere compared to 800,000 who watched the second episode.
The drama features Lily-Rose Depp as well as Jennie of the popular K-pop group BLACKPINK, who made her acting debut in the film. Recently, there was a lot of talk about this week’s episode, which was named “the worst sex scene ever” by Britain’s GQ.
In a published review, writer Lucy Ford wrote wryly, “The dialogue and choreography feel like they were plucked from the brain of a horny teenager who has just discovered that you can search for “boobs” on Google Images.”
The Weeknd once revealed that the film was inspired by his own experiences and that he approached the production with extraordinary enthusiasm, not as a musician but as an artist.
The drama also received a harsh rating of 9% out of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, a well-known movie and drama review site.
