Kesha and Dr. Luke appear to have settled their legal battle.
On Thursday, June 22, singer Kesha updated her Instagram.

She revealed that both parties have reached an agreement to end their long-running battle with Dr. Luke.
In the form of a joint statement, Kesha said, “Only God knows what happened that night as I have always said, I cannot recount everything that happened. I am looking forward to closing the door on this chapter of my life and beginning a new one. I wish nothing but peace to all parties involved.”
Dr. Luke followed with a statement. He said, “While I appreciate Kesha again acknowledging that she cannot recount what happened that night in 2005. I am absolutely certain that nothing happened. I never drugged or assaulted her and would never do that to anyone for the sake of family. I have vigorously fought to clear my name for nearly 10 years. It is time for me to put this difficult matter behind me and move on with my life. I wish Kesha well.”
The battle between Kesha and former producer Dr. Luke dates back to 2014.
In 2014, Kesha filed a lawsuit alleging that Dr. Luke sexually assaulted her in 2005 and physically and emotionally abused her since then.
However, Dr. Luke counterclaimed that this claim by Kesha was defamatory. He claimed that Kesha’s claims were made up to get out of her record contract.
Although Kesha’s lawsuit was dropped in 2016, Dr. Luke’s defamation lawsuit continues, and the two were expected to appear in court later this year, but it now appears that the case has been settled without going through the courts.
