According to an investigation by The Daily Telegraph, activities to “Russify” young people illegally taken from war-torn Ukraine are being carried out in Moscow.

The children, who were educated in areas of Russian-occupied Ukraine and on the Crimean Peninsula, are being taught that “the Nazis and NATO [North Atlantic Treaty Organization] are responsible” for the invasion of Ukraine that President Putin launched last year.

The students are forced to sing the Russian national anthem, use textbooks that lack historical accuracy, and are even forced to write letters of thanks to Russian military personnel responsible for atrocities in their home country. In addition, military training is built into the schools, and in some cases, students are sent to the Chechen Republic.

President Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova, the Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights, are under an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court for war criminals for the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children.

Mykola Kuleba, founder of Save Ukraine, an NGO that helps parents rescue their children from Russian occupation, said that Russia is brainwashing susceptible children. It’s not just moving children from one region to another,” she said. We are fighting for the children’s population, their minds, and their Russification, which will ultimately be used as a weapon against Ukraine.”
