Bryan’s family released a statement on Monday, August 7.

They said, “On August 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS. Bryan chose early on to keep his battle with ALS private, and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his wishes.””Bryan was a wonderful man who navigated this disease situation with us and tireless doctors, who became our roommates and often our We are immeasurably grateful to the wonderful nurses who sacrificed their own families for us,” he continued.

ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a rare neurological disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord (spinal cord) that control voluntary muscle movement. As the disease progresses, the brain loses its ability to initiate and control voluntary movements. There is no cure for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, and there is no effective treatment to slow its progression.

The family is asking for “privacy” to say goodbye to Bryan and to accept other things.

Bryan, a photographer, first met Sandra Bullock on the birthday of his adopted son Louis in 2015; the two hit it off immediately and began dating immediately; they made their red carpet debut as a couple at the premiere of Sandra’s film “Our Brand Is Crisis” The two then began dating less and less.

After that, they were not very public about their relationship, but during an appearance on Red Table Talk in December 2021, Sandra said that she had found the love of her life. Sandra, who adopted Bryan’s daughter and three children, son Louis (13) and daughter Lila (10), said at the time, “It’s the best thing I ever did.”

Before Bryan’s death, sources for Us Weekly magazine speculated that the two had broken up, as they had not been seen together in public for years. Bryan’s family has called for donations to the ALS Association and Massachusetts General Hospital in his honor.
