Choose a recycled dress

The Earth Shot Award is a new award created over the next 10 years to help protect the global environment and provide a stimulus for change. For its first award ceremony, Watson, known for her support for sustainable fashion and one of the presenters, chose recycled dresses.

A dress designed by Harris Reed, made from a wedding dress donated to Oxfam, an international cooperation organization to eradicate poverty and injustice.

Custom designed for Watson, the concept is similar to Reed’s Spring / Summer 2022 collection, with all looks made using second-hand wedding dresses. Use luxurious fabrics to untie and meticulously reconstruct Reed’s signature flared dresses, or replace lace bridal veils and morning jackets with something else. Was there.

Watson’s look is a combination of delicate lace, a fluffy asymmetrical, almost backless white top, black flared trousers and a beautiful piece that Reed collaborated with jewelry brand Missoma.

Reed revealed that it was an immeasurable honor to make Watson’s dress and shared the excitement on Instagram.

At the event Watson attended, Princess Catherine and other royals wore sustainable evening wear.

While Prince William wore an upcycled velvet jacket, Princess Catherine chose Alexander McQueen’s lilac dress, which she had worn many times in the past.

Princess Catherine first wore this dress 10 years ago at the British Academy Film Awards in the summer of 2011, this time with a few updates to her accessories.
