It’s about to be completed in four or five weeks. We’ve already finished shooting.

Fast X” is the tenth film in the “Wild Speed” franchise, and the ninth film in the series, “Wild Speed: Jet Break,” marks Justin Lin’s return to the series after “Wild Speed: EURO MISSION” (2013), and the director’s highly anticipated return to the megaphone in the new film. Fans were excited to hear that Justin Lin would be taking the helm of the new film, but a few days after filming began, he stepped down as director. The new director is French filmmaker Louis Letellier. He is the man behind such high-profile films as the action movie “Transporter” starring Jason Statham and its sequel “Transporter 2,” “Clash of the Titans,” the “Grand Illusion” series, and “The Incredible Hulk.

The new film also features new actors, including Brie Larson and Jason Momoa, and is very much in the works.

Michelle spoke to Deadline at San Diego Comic-Con about the filming of “Fast X”. She said that despite the loss of the director, production is going well and there are only four or five weeks of shooting left. I can’t believe it,” she said. We lost the director and everything, but there was nothing to stop that machine. It’s almost finished. It will be finished in four or five weeks. The filming is already done.

Even though principal photography will be completed in a few more weeks, films like “Fast X” will likely be reshot in the coming months to add material. The U.S. release of the film is scheduled for May 19, 2023, but more news will be forthcoming.
