Amazon Studios Head Jennifer Salke stated. “The fact that Tolkien’s story is the true origin story of the fantasy genre, and one of the most popular, has brought us to this proud moment. We are truly grateful to the Tolkien Foundation and to showrunners J. D. Payne and Patrick McKay, executive producer Lindsay Webber, and the cast and crew for their tireless collaboration and boundless creativity. And the tens of millions of fans who are as passionate about ‘China’ as we are are the true measure of our success.”
