U.S. Los Angeles-based rapper Half-Ounce was shot and killed while walking down the street.

Los Angeles police said authorities responded to the scene on South New Hampshire Avenue around 11:30 p.m. on October 3 after receiving numerous radio calls of “a man screaming and firing shots,” according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The man who was shot was determined to be rapper Half-Ounce.

The male victim of the shooting was already lying there and there was no response from him. Paramedics pronounced him dead on the spot.

The coroner’s office later confirmed that the man who was shot was the rapper Half Ounce. He was 32 years old.

According to Fox 11, the couple also have an 8-year-old daughter, a 2-year-old son, and a 9-month-old son.

The half-ones were walking with a friend when they were also shot. A dark-colored car approached them, and someone in the car shot both Half-Ounce and his friend. The friend, however, succeeded in escaping and is currently being sought.

The perpetrator is still at large.
