Avatar: The Way of Water,” the latest film in the series that master filmmaker James Cameron has devoted 13 years of his life to, will be released simultaneously worldwide on December 16 (Friday).

The film emotionally depicts the breath of the beautiful ocean and the creatures that inhabit it, as well as the fierce battle between humans who plan to invade the mysterious planet Pandora and the indigenous Na’vi, and the heart-wrenching drama with the most beautiful images in human history.

The film was nominated for two major categories including Best Picture (Drama) and Best Director at the Golden Globe Awards announced yesterday, and is already making a name for itself in this year’s awards race. The premiere event was held on December 12 (Mon.) in Los Angeles, U.S.A., to mark the finale of the world tour, including the promotional event held in Japan on December 10 (Sat.), before the film’s worldwide release this weekend.

The film’s production team, including producer Jon Landau, who has been James Cameron’s right-hand man for many years, Sam Worthington who plays Jake Sully, Zoe Saldana who plays Neytiri, Jake’s supportive wife, Sigourney Weaver who plays Kili, the girl who holds the key to the story, and others, stood in front of Jake and the others once again. The cast also includes Stephen Lang as Quaritch, who once again stands in the way of Jake and his friends.

The Weeknd, who sings the end song for the film, also made an appearance at the premiere event, which was a great success and a fitting end to his world tour.

Jake, a former marine who became a member of the mysterious planet Pandora, has started a family with Neytiri, a Na’vi woman, and lives peacefully with his children. However, he is forced out of the sacred “Pandora Forest” by a renewed human invasion, and he seeks help from the “Sea Tribe”.

The audience was filled with the excitement of fans dressed as the indigenous Na’vi, who looked cool in black suits on the “Avatar Blue” carpet, which was inspired by the “Pandora’s Sea,” the setting of the film. Sam Worthington, who plays the role of Jake Sully, appeared on the “Avatar Blue” carpet!

When Sam was asked about his memories of the promotion of his visit to Japan a few days ago, he replied, “My stay in Japan was very short. But I was welcomed very enthusiastically by the Japanese people. They loved the “immersive” feeling of our film and the beautiful world of Pandora. I think Japan has very strong family ties. This film is a strong representation of that. He praised the enthusiasm of the Japanese fans.

And after the world tour, fans and media from all over the world said, “The pinnacle of filmmaking! The images are beyond expectations! The visuals and story are far beyond anything in the previous film!” I am so excited! Thousands of people are involved in this film, so I’m really happy that the fruits of our labor have been recognized by the public. I’m so happy that people are recognizing the fruits of our labor,” she said.

Zoe Saldana, who played Neytiri in a chic black dress, commented on the rave reviews that kept coming in, “Thank you so much! I was confident in my performance, so I had high expectations. But all of the responses have been unimaginably positive, so I am just thrilled and extremely happy! With joy, he also expressed his confidence that he had done that much preparation.

Next, when asked what was impressive about the recent promotion in Japan, he replied, “It was meeting my Japanese family. They came to the Japan premiere. I was so happy to be able to show the film to my cousin, my wife, and my nieces. I was so happy to be able to show the film to my cousin, wife, and nieces,” she recalled.

Sigourney Weaver was dressed in a glamorous gold outfit. Jim [Cameron] is a great director and our ensemble is really great. It’s an emotional story that surpasses the previous film and is a completely immersive visual experience. I don’t have to buy popcorn because I don’t have time to eat even a second of it (laughs),” he said, expressing confidence in a visual experience that surpasses the previous film.

Stephen Lang, who plays Quaritch in the film, said of the film, which was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and is a strong contender for an Academy Award, “I am very happy that this film has been supported. We know how immersive this film is for people. So I’m not surprised in a good way by people’s reactions and evaluations.

But I am somewhat relieved by their reactions. He also revealed his passion for the film. Producer Jon Landau, who has worked on “Avatar” and “Titanic,” has visited Japan twice to promote the film. When I walked the blue carpet at the Japan premiere, it was wonderful to see how the fans gathered there to support this film from the bottom of their hearts. Thank you so much, everyone in Japan!” he said, once again expressing his gratitude to the Japanese fans.

In addition to the gorgeous cast and production team, three-time Grammy Award winner and world-renowned musician The Weeknd, known for his songs “Starboy” (2.1 billion views on YouTube) and “Blinding lights” (650 million views on YouTube), also took the stage to promote the film. The film opens with the most eye- and heart-stopping “visual experience” in human history that only Cameron, who loves the sea so much, can portray and that mankind can experience today.
