I’m going crazy with joy right now, so just wait a minute!

Selena Gomez was nominated for the first time for Best Actress in a Television (Comedy or Musical) at the Golden Globe Awards, which are given to outstanding visual works and actors.

Selena was nominated for her role in the mystery comedy “Only Murders in the Building,” in which she plays Mabel, who is investigating a murder that took place in her apartment building.

Not only Selena, but also actors Steve Martin and Martin Short, who played the residents of the apartment building who were pursuing the murders with Mabel, were nominated for Best Actor from “Only Murders in the Building,” while the film itself was nominated for Best Picture in the Television (Comedy or Musical) category. The film itself was also nominated for Best Television (Comedy or Musical).

Selena took to TikTok to express her delight about her Best Actress nomination.

She wrote on TikTok, “Dreams really do come true! I’m nominated for a Golden Globe! I’m going crazy with joy right now, so just wait a minute.”

The post was accompanied by a video interview on the “KTLA Morning Show” that Selena appeared on in 2011, more than a decade ago. In the video, a young Selena shared her thoughts on the Golden Globe Awards.

When asked by the show’s host if she was aiming for the famous music award, “The Grammy Awards?” Selena replied.

Of course it would be a great honor. But I’d rather win a Golden Globe or an Oscar.

Despite her obsession with the Golden Globes, Selena was actually nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album in November of the same year for her album “Revelación,” which was released last year and was recorded entirely in Spanish. Although she narrowly missed out on the award, she was nominated for both a Grammy and a Golden Globe.

Fans sent numerous congratulatory comments to the post.

‘Congrats!!! I’m so happy to be living in the same time as Selena.”

Grammys, Golden Globes, wow! It’s a sign of how hard you’ve been working.

I hope she wins for sure!”
