Noël Le Graët, the president of the French Football Federation (FFF), made a comment to the French newspaper RCM SPORT regarding the future of soccer legend Zinedine Zidane as a coach, saying that he “does not care,” “I do not care,” and “I would not pick up the phone if he called me. I don’t care,” he said.

Another ugly story has emerged from the top of the French soccer world, which continues to face headwinds.

This has led to protests from France’s Kylian Mbappe, President Emmanuel Macron, and Amélie Oudéa-Castella, France’s minister of sports, among others.

They demanded a retraction of the comment and an apology, and the president admitted that the comment was inappropriate.

Meanwhile, a new scandal has emerged involving President Le Graët. On January 10, the French newspaper L’Equipe published an interview with Sonia Suyd, a sports agent.

In it, she revealed that President Le Graët had approached her for sexual relations in repeated attempts to contact her between 2013 and 2005, stating, “He did not see me like an agent, but like candy.

According to the newspaper, the president is also suspected of sexual harassment of a former female employee within the French soccer federation, which is currently being investigated by authorities.

In addition to the aftermath of Zidane’s comments, the allegations of sexual harassment are likely to make the accusations even louder for the 81-year-old Le Graët. As a key figure in French soccer, he is likely to be placed in an even tougher situation where his qualifications will be questioned.
