Jay Z and Beyonce have purchased a $200 million mansion in California.
This mansion looks like an art museum.
The couple bought the 40,000-square-foot (3,700-square-metre) home in Malibu, California, from William Bell Jr, one of the world’s biggest art collectors, TMZ reported.

The mansion, which sits on an eight-acre (32,000 sq m) estate, is priced at a whopping $200 million. It is believed to be the most expensive home for sale in California.
The original owner, William Bell Jr, took a loan of USD 100 million (approximately JPY 13.85 billion) and spent nearly 15 years building the all-concrete mansion.
The house, which looks like a museum, was designed by the world-renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando. He also designed Kanye West’s home in the same area.
The house stands on a cliff top in Malibu and overlooks the Pacific Ocean.
Although the property is considered the most exclusive property in California, it was originally listed for sale for $295 million (¥40.864 billion), so in a way it was a bargain.
For Jay Z and Beyoncé, this is the second time they have bought a house in California.
In 2017, the couple bought a $88 million mansion in the upmarket Los Angeles neighbourhood of Bel Air, and invested millions more in renovating it. The house is now estimated to be worth nearly $100 million.
TMZ has reached out to big-name broker Kurt Rapaport, who is believed to have brokered the property, for comment, but has not received a response at this time.
The most expensive property in the US, by the way, is a $238 million mansion in New York.
