‘We still love and care for each other very much, but our distance has proven to be too big a challenge to overcome,’ Jason wrote on an Instagram story above a two-shot watching the sunset. ‘We remain close friends, talk often, support each other and want the best for each other. Thanks to everyone who has supported us throughout our relationship’.
Marie-Lou has recently returned to Paris after living with Jason in Los Angeles for a while. She recently revealed Jason’s reaction when she told him she was leaving the US. In an Instagram Q&A, she said, “The truth is, we both knew from the beginning that I had to go back because of work, friends and family here” and “Long-distance relationships are tough, but we are both committed to making it work. Even though we are long distance, we communicate regularly and try to make time for each other”.
At the time, she expressed her desire to work hard to make the relationship work. ‘I am grateful to have such a supportive partner who understands my goals and passions. After all, it is important to follow your heart and pursue your dreams, even if it means taking risks and facing difficulties’, she continued.
