Madonna had been rehearsing for 12 hours a day for six days a week in preparation for her world tour, which was scheduled to start in July. In addition to this, she was planning to collaborate with Katy.

On June 28 (local time), Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, announced that Madonna had developed a serious bacterial infection on June 24 and was admitted to the intensive care unit.

On June 29, the U.S. media outlet CNN reported that Madonna was discharged from the hospital where she was taken and returned to her home in New York City via a private emergency service.

Madonna was scheduled to open her 40th anniversary world tour “The Celebration” in July this year, touring Canada, the United States, and Europe. However, after she was taken to an emergency room, it was announced that the tour would be postponed.

After Madonna announced her world tour in January this year, she had been undergoing grueling rehearsals for 12 hours a day for six days a week at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island in New York City, USA.

It was also revealed that she was preparing not only a tour but also a collaboration with popular female singer Katy Perry, known as the Queen of Pop.

According to the British media outlet “The Sun,” Madonna had holed up in a recording studio hours before she was rushed to the emergency room and was making a top-secret recording with Katy. The collaboration was part of a special project to mark the 40th anniversary of Madonna’s debut.

A source told the media, “Madonna has long admired Katy and worked with her. However, she did not go so far as to announce them publicly.

According to this person, Madonna has been working around the clock to make her music and world tour the best it could possibly be.

He added, “As you know, everything is on hold right now. But the fact that Madonna was in the studio with Katy just hours before she was taken to the intensive care unit shows how determined she was to push forward despite her poor health,” he added.

According to the media outlet, Madonna was recording with Katy on June 23, the day before she was rushed to the emergency room.

On that day, Madonna was seen visiting “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” an exhibition looking back on the late Karl Lagerfeld’s career as a fashion designer currently being held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

In a photo published by Daily Mail Online, Madonna is wearing sunglasses and a black baseball cap over her braided blonde hair. She was wearing a black long-sleeved T-shirt, sweatpants, and white sneakers, and stopped in front of a crosswalk to talk to a woman next to her.
