Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, grandson of the famous actor Robert De Niro, has died at the age of only 19.
De Niro’s daughter and Rodriguez’s mother, Drena de Niro, revealed the news on her own Instagram page on the evening of July 2. The cause of death and other details have not been disclosed. British and U.S. media reported on July 3.
Drena, an actress, posted a photo of Leandro on Instagram, saying, ” My beautiful sweet angel . I have loved you beyond words or description from the moment I felt you in my belly .You have been my joy my heart and all that was ever pure and real in my life . I wish I was with you right now. I wish I was with you . I don’t know how to live without you but I’ll try to go on and spread the love and light that you so made me feel in getting to be your mama . You were so deeply loved and appreciated and I wish that love alone could have saved you 😞I’m so sorry my baby , I’m so sorry @carlosmare 😢💔. Rest in Peace and Eternal Paradise my darling boy 🙏🏽💔💔💔💔💔🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️,” she wrote, expressing her deep sadness and condolences.

Leandro, who passed away, was born to Drena and artist Carlos Rodriguez and began his acting career at an early age; he was a promising young actor with a promising future in Hollywood, playing the son of popular actor Dave Chabelle in the 2018 blockbuster “A Star Is Born” .

His mother, Drena, was the stepdaughter of actress Diane Abbott, whom De Niro married in 1976 and adopted directly; after his parents divorced in 1988, he continued to use the surname De Niro.
