Elon Musk Comments on Trial of Johnny Depp Against Ex-Lover Amber Heard

Businessman Elon Musk commented on the defamation trial from Johnny Depp against his ex-girlfriend Aber Heard. Amber was dating Elon between 2016 and 2017 after her breakup with Johnny.

Johnny Depp has filed a civil lawsuit seeking $50 million in damages against his ex-wife Amber Heard, claiming that an article she contributed to the Washington Post in 2018 was defamatory.

After more than a month of testimony, attorneys for both sides presented their closing arguments on May 27 local time. This will allow the jury to begin its review, and the case is scheduled to return to court on May 31.

Following the closing of the muddled trial, Amber’s former boyfriend, Elon Musk, took to Twitter to comment. Amber had been dating Elon from 2016 to 2017 after her breakup with Johnny.

Shortly after the closing arguments were over, Elon wrote on his own Twitter page, “I hope they move on,” and complimented the two on the witness stand, saying, “They were at their best and each was great.”

Elon’s comments were in response to a tweet by Rex Friedman, a researcher and podcaster at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Rex wrote, “My takeaways from the Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard trial,” and spelled it out this way.

1. fame is a hell of a drug (for some people); 2. psychiatrists and lawyers are a dime a dozen; 3. lying to millions of people is humanly possible; 4. love is a nasty thing; 5. copious amounts of wine; 6. the only thing that can make a man’s life better is a good one.”

Amber and Elon met and became friends on the set of the film “Machete Kills” in 2013; they first discovered their relationship in 2016 and were caught walking together in Gold Ghost, Australia in April 2017. Amber then made their relationship public by sharing a two-shot on her Instagram.

However, their romance did not last long, and in August of the same year, they announced in a joint statement to the US media “People” that they had broken up. The two rekindled their romance in January 2018, but parted ways for the second time just one month later.
