The story of the 14th Doctor begins in 2023.

 

Doctor Who, the British national science fiction drama series that has been running since 1963, will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2023. 2023 will mark the 14th Doctor, and Tutu Gatwa (Sex Education and Barbie) is the first black actor to be selected for the role. In addition, Russell T. Davies, who left the show after 2009, will return to the production.

 

And a trailer for the 60th anniversary special was recently released in the U.K., and it shows Chewie as a doctor!　But in it he exclaims, “Can someone explain what is going on right now!?” and the video shows David Tennant, the highly popular 10th Doctor!

The Power of the Doctor,” the final episode of Jodie Whittaker’s 13th Doctor, will be broadcast in the UK on October 23, where Tutu was expected to make a cameo appearance, but it was David who appeared in his place. And the trailer even shows Donna Noble, played by Catherine Tate!　Neil Patrick Harris, who has been announced to play the 14th Doctor’s enemy, can also be seen waving eerily.

Once David is sandwiched in between, it is unclear if Jodie and Tutie will co-star, but showrunner Russell said of the development, “If you thought David Tennant’s appearance was a shock, we have more surprises in store for you! Tuti’s path to the 14th Doctor is full of mystery, horror, robots, puppets, danger, and fun! And how does it lead to the return of the wonderful Donna Noble? We’ve given you a year to ponder. And after that, let’s unravel!” He commented.
