In his latest interview, popular singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes talks about his shaved head, how he felt when he canceled his tour last year, and his new songs.

In July 2022, Shawn Mendes canceled the remainder of his “Wonder Tour” in order to prioritize his mental health, and since then he has not been in the public eye much.

The process was very difficult,” Shawn said of his decision to cancel last year’s tour. “I did a lot of therapy and tried a lot to understand how I was feeling and what was making me feel that way. And then I work to help and heal myself. And I relied on the people in my life to help me. It was hard work, but I think the last year and a half has been the most eye opening experience of my life, a process of growth, beauty, and healing. I am also so grateful to all the people who have been so accepting, loving, kind, and understanding. And I realized that we are becoming a culture where mental health is becoming a priority,” he said, revealing that the decision to cancel the rest of the tour was a difficult one, but a growing one.

As for the new songs that we are anxious to hear, Shawn said, “I’m thinking right now, ‘Okay, I’m going to start writing songs,’ and I’m excited about it,” and revealed that he plans to produce them in the near future.

Shawn’s hair style has always been characterized by curls, but this January, he surprised people by suddenly shaving his head.

He said, “I wanted people to see what I looked like with a shaved head. And I felt the urge to give myself a bit of a boost,” he revealed.
