Actress Bella Thorne recently appeared on “High Low,” a podcast hosted by model Emily Ratajkowski.
Bella Thorne shares an unreasonable experience she had when she was 10 years old.
In discussing the issue of child actors being seen as sexual objects, she confessed her own real-life experience.
According to Bella, at an audition when she was 10 years old, one of the directors complained to her that she was being “sexist and obnoxious” and that she had nothing to complain about.
The casting director called the office and the office called my mom, and the call was, ‘She (Bella) is not going to move on,'” Bella said. The director felt that Bella had been sexually harassed by the director, and she was really uncomfortable about it,” she said.
Bella still recalls those words and wonders what she did wrong.
I’m trying so hard to figure out what I did wrong,” she said. I’m trying so hard to find out what I did wrong,” she said. What did you do that made him feel that way? But I don’t care what I said. I don’t care if I said a very vulgar phrase, because I’m 10 years old. I don’t care if I said a very vulgar phrase, because I’m ten years old. What makes you think that a ten-year-old is playing tricks on you?” He continued, “I don’t care if I’m auditioning with the director.
She added, “When I audition with a director, I don’t say or do anything,” she said. There is no time to get on someone’s knee or make someone uncomfortable.
